Granada Inn Motel, Kalkaska

I stayed here 15 years ago and it was a nice place. This time I was schocked and dissapointed. I found it was run down. It appeared to be a hang out for rift-raft. I stayed 4 days and only got fresh towels once and my trash emptied twice. If it wasn't trout festival week end I would have moved if there was openings at other motels. The young people coming and going made me feel nervious. I felt my car and trailer were going to be broken into as it was being checked out everytime someone walked by. The room had mold in it. The toilet was loose and felt like I was riding a mechanical bull. I was surprised it wasn't leaking.The tub/shower floor was cracked and leaked water. The young people coming and going all night slamming doors and yelling kept me awake. I have never spent time a a motel that did not give fresh towels and make the bed. The place was a dump, I advise to stay somewhere else.

When our van broke down we had to find a place to stay. This place was the closest (we had to walk to it). The staff was so very helpful. The desk attendant phoned a guy he knew to fix our van and offered us a discounted rate. Our room was clean and peaceful. I would definitely stay there again.

although it is an older hotel and it lacks many of the amenities we look for, it was clean, quiet and the staff was really great. Having friends in the area we visit several times a year and are pleased with what we got for the price!

Well let me just say,... I normally stay in very nice/high end establishments. This hotel would not fit in that category, but if you are reading this, realize you're staying in Kalkaska! Not Traverse City. This hotel was reasonably clean, the staff was BEYOND AWSOME. Air conditioner worked great. They even have discounts with all of the local restaruants just for staying at the hotel. In life, you get what you pay for. The cost here was cheap, but I got a great nights sleep and in the end, isn't that what you pay for anyway. Would definately stay here again.

service was good and friendly people.you get 10% off from all restaurants because of management's efforts. Rooms were clean with microwave and refrigerators. motel also have a basket ball court for customers.

we came up for a weekend "get-a-way" and was pleasantly suprised at the service and the cleanlieness of the rooms and the price was very reasonable. we"ll come back.
