Wayfarer Lodgings, Frankfort

These are darling little cabins, away from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas. It was very quiet and private when we were there in August, but only a few miles from town. The owners did anything they could for us. Perfect!

Seemed nice at first but the cabins are just a few feet from one another. The walk to the beach is treacherous. This also must be where the drinkers and smokers come to stay. We had to keep the windows of our cramped cabin closed because of it. Plus it was loud at night. We will stay in town next time. This place was a couple miles out of town.

The cottages are extremely close to one another. There is minimal privacy. If you plan to be away the entire time you are there and are looking for a place to sleep it could be tolerable. The proximity to the beach is horrible. You could walk there but if you have small children or in my case are a 65 year old with knee problems it is impossible. We had a great time there because of the company we kept not because of the accomidations. The owners were nice, the cramped enviornment is not why you go to the country.

Very clean and cozy with homelike amenities and really nice owners. A small package, but good price and tastefully decorated. Coffee maker provided. A small frig would be a great addition. Owners are helpful, cordial and a flexible. I would stay there again and think this is a cut above most upper Mich. cabins.
