We spent a week at the coast and this was one of many stops. We had 6 in our party my wife and myself and our son and his three girls ages 5,7 and 10. We rented 2 rooms one for my son and the girls and the other for my wife and myself.
First off they made us pay a cleaning deposit and yes they inspected the rooms when we checked out then gave the deposit back. The bathroom door did not close and there was a sign on the wall informing that the water temp wound change while taking a shower. Boy did it ever ice cold to scalding hot faster than you cound shut it off. Did not take a shower, every time I thought I was good the temp would go one way or the other.
Never again will I stay at that place..!
After getting the rush to rent a second floor room at Econo(for more than my net search advised) I drove down here. The manager seemed OK enough, maybe a little rough around the edges but then so am I. He makes interesting driftwood art and wooden benches and we wound up talking about that for quite a while.
The room was clean, spacious, the bed comfortable and the rate reasonable. The location is close to the marina and South Beach. I'd stop again.
Not expensive and nice room. Only once did we have noisy people to one side as they talked really loud. I've stayed here quite a few times in the past years. Last time staying a couple nights with hubby. I haven't had any trouble with management. They were friendly and that's what keeps me going back. I recommend it to other people as I know it's hard to find a good place to stay without spending alot of money. They have non-smoking rooms so ask for it when booking.
We stayed in the suite, it was set up like a one bedroom apartment with a small kitchen. It was nice, since we had kids with us. The walls were kinda thin. We were on the second floor and we were woke up by the people on the first floor. Otherwise, pretty nice.
when we where leaveing they came to our room and said we had taken there pillows when i told them they where our they told me i was lieing and they seen me take them i opened my car and they seen the pillow that was not there but looked to be the same color they just said so many peopletake there things they just figured we did the same spend a little more and get a good hotel ur on the coast have fun not a bad time when u are leaveing
