Worse motel ever, filthy, run-down, rude!

The manager was rude from the start, saying several times that if I brought a guest it was ten dollars extra. As a female traveling alone, I was really offended since I kept telling her I was alone. I opened the room door to a horrible smell, small, sunken bed with a stained and torn comforter, filthy carpet without a foot that didn't have a cigarette burn, and furnishings that looked like thrift store rejects. I went out to my car and got my own sheets and pillow, then went into the bathroom where I found badly stained and ragged towels that looked like they had lived long lives at a car wash. The final straw was when I lifted the lid on the toilet and found that - not only was the seat DIRTY, it had not been flushed. I put my duffle and sheets back in my car and went in the office to ask for a refund. The woman at the desk was very rude and went to look at the room. She accused me of using the toilet and didn't want to give me a refund, but did in a very unfriendly way. She also said she had cleaned the room herself. I went off to stay at the Madras Hotel for basically the same price and it was great. I've stayed in a lot of small motels and have had a few bad experiences, but never seen anything nearly as awful and can't believe the Relax Inn is still in business.
