wonderful couples beach respite

The Manor House is a modern building on a most beautiful stretch of Lake Huron with a soft, sandy beach. Some rooms even rent for less than $100 with a partial view of Lake Huron, which is an incredible deal! We liked that our breakfast was brought to our room so we could sit on our porch in privacy to enjoy the morning sunrise. The first time we went, we only stayed one night and felt sad leaving so soon. We have already booked our next stay and, this time, it is for two nights. Manor House is not heavily publicized, but know it is a good place for couples who want some relaxing, private time together in an exquisite location.

Romantic Getaway

Everything was very clean and comfortable, with cushy beds. The service was friendly. The complimentary breakfast is good, but choose the muffins and/or quiche, as the oatmeal is instant. The rooms are right on the beautiful Lake Huron white sand beach. It has a large wooden deck to relax on and lots of room beyond for a nice evening beach fire. The water is crystal clear and great for swimming. Within a 10 minute drive is canoeing on the Au Sable as well as day hike trails along its banks. I highly recommend both activities. Off-season rates are an absolute bargain, especially since their are plenty of fall/winter activities in the area.
