I arrived at the hotel and went into the office and met what seemed like a nice older woman (The Owner) at the counter and checked in for 3 nights. After checking in I realized I had no cellular service in the hotel. I realized I couldn't stay because I need my phone for work. So, the next morning I went into the office to check out, very politely explaining the situation to the owner that I could no longer stay because I need service for work. She the proceeded to tell me that I had to give a 48 hour notice to cancel. This is very understandable if the rooms were full and she was going to lose money, but they weren't. There were only 2 rooms rented. After further explaining my situation, and that I wasn't leaving because I didn't like the motel, I was leaving because I had to, due to my phone, she then proceeded to tell me "Well, your problems are your problems, not ours" and again refused to refund me the money for the next 2 nights. It's just bad business. I would say, for your best interest, to avoid this motel unless you like to give your money away,
The place used to be great---25 years ago. Now it is fairly clean and the outside very well kept. That is all the good words I have. I checked in for a two day stay and paid for the 2 nights. The first night I received a message from home telling me to be there the next day. I went into the unocupied office to inform them I would be leaving and not staying the second night. No one was there, I called from the road a hour and a half later and informed the clerk and she could credit my credit card for the second night. I called the motel about a week later because my credit card had not been credited. Another week went by so I emailed the motel, a few days later I received an e mail from a Terry Moore saying the motel had a 48 hour cancelation policy. My credit card company did give me credit for the second night. They are just hard up for business, but they won't get it this way. We were the only car in the lot this Tuesday night. Tom Stempson
Not the most modern facility in the world but I loved that it wasnt.....room was clean....staff was very nice and helpful.....The place was what a motel used to be when families went out and enjoyed themselves without all the modern things we cant seem to "live without" these days.....I cant wait to visit again!!
I've stayed at the Camelot 3 times now and I enjoyed my stay each time. The gounds are beautiful and so is the pool. The owner was very nice and friendly and accommodating. The rooms are older but clean and cozy.
The only thing I didn't like is that I couldn't contol the air condtioning. Other than that, I have no complaints.
Never will stay here again, very old, not clean, dust hanging from beds, Cannot control your own heat, owner comes in and sets it for you, winter stay she only put it up to 62 degrees, bring your own blankets because there x-tras are filthy and smelly. Stayed in back room, outside light burnt out had to use my cell phone to light up key hole.
