Golden Lion Riverside Inn, Warren

We liked the location at the base of the Sugarbush access road. It is all downhill after that. The room had a musty smell. The heat was either on high or off. So, we either sweated or froze. My wife pulled an extra blanket out of a drawer to use the first night, when the room was very cold. Only to find the blanket was moldy. Did I forget to say that the "king sized bed" was really a double. The bathroom door was so warped that it didn't close completely. The shower spray could not be adjusted from the thin stream of water. The included breakfast was served on paper plates the size of a salad plate. The plural in scrambled eggs was not per serving, while the 2 sausages were bland and smaller than 1 cooked Jimmy Dean sausage. On our last night I asked if we could leave our bags in the room while we skied a half day, I was told that check out time was noon. Even though we were one of 2 occupied rooms midweek. Make sure your worst enemy does what I did - pay before inspecting the room.
