Frank's Plaza, Bad Axe

We were sent down to thie "Sister Motel" by the Franklin Inn. What a mistake!!! Dirty old rooms, Restraunt was closed up. The bar was a dingy, dirty dump, and the bartender was fat, rude, and could'nt make a drink to save her life. We ran for our lives to the econo lodge down the street!!!!

My wife and I decided to give this small motel a second chance. Not only was the place worse than before.... but they actually had the nerve to "up" the price to stay. The Lounge that we found so charming and fun last year was gone and in it's place was an empty, boring, overpriced, and badly staffed dump. I don't think this bar and motel will be in business too much longer. They should just give up!!!

We stayed at the Franklin Plaza to attend a funeral in July 2006.Upon arriving at the hotel the older woman behind the bar informed us that there were no reservations listed under our name. Since we had guarenteed with a credit card we thougt this strange, but as they had available rooms we wern't too concerned. Upon entering our room, the first thing we noted was the odor. Like sewer. The remote control didn't work and the air conditioning barely cooled. We complained to the mgr. June and she said there was nothing she could do. She told us to call in the morning and talk to someone in the office. The full service restaraunt wasn't open and when asked if we could get somthing at the bar, were told that there wasnt a cook on duty. She told us to go down to their other place, the Franklin Inn. No thanks!!! Service was rude and we will NEVER go back again.

Tired music and small "dance floor" in the bar...not a bad place if you really have nothing better to do.

My girlfriend and I stayed the weekend and can't wait to go back and see our new friends! The rooms are average but very clean, but the lounge is was sets this place apart from the rest! DJ entertainment on the weekend is a blast! No need to go elsewhere at night to have fun! Bartenders are very good and so friendly you would think you are in your own neighborhood bar. We couldn't believe the crowd that showed up at night. We will definatley be back at the Plaza!! Hello Terry and Lisa! You guys ROCK!!!
