Elm Tree Cabins & Motel, Schroon Lake

This little collection of cottages and three apartment type units is located a very short walk from downtown. They are right on the lake and there is a small beach with a dock and float. The beach is sandy and it does not get muddy until you are about 5 feet out. There is a canoe and row-boat that you can use and they will allow you to moor a boat on their dock. We stayed in the apartment. It was very modern and clean two full baths, two bedrooms and a large family room. The kitchen had everything that you need. One warning, it is located directly adjacent to a Christian Retreat that starts to get very loud, enthusiastic guests, by the busload before 7 am on saturday morning, so be prepared to be woken up early.
