52 Stafford Irish Inn, Plymouth

Went for our honeymoon in 2004 and go back every year for our anniversary. It's like walking into a good friend's beautiful home and being taken care of like a long lost relative. The best food and wine I have ever tasted.

I have stayed at 52 Stafford on business trips at least 10 times over the last 6 months. The rooms are always very clean and in good repair, and luxuriously appointed. I have not eaten in the restaurant a lot but my last time the food was good, service was fast and courteous. The wireless internet connection works great. The staff has been friendly and helpful during all of my stays. The location is great in downtown Plymouth, you can walk to most places in town. The only downsides I can mention are that the continental breakfast is a little bit limited in selection compared to soem other hotels, and I don't like the smell of smoke from the bar in the lobby when you walk in on a crowded evening. Overall this is a really unique hotel with an authentic Irish ambiance. I plan to stay there again whenever I am in the area.
