Moose Country Cabins, Old Forge

We made on-line reservations to stay at Moose Country Cabins for 2 nights over Columbus Day weekend 2008. We almost immediately received an email that our reservation was accepted. I contacted the owner/manager 3 days prior to our trip to find out they lost our reservation and gave our cabin away to someone else. We ended-up finding another cabin - for much more expense than our original reservation AND it was 8 miles out of Old Forge, causing us to do much more driving than originally planned. The owner/manager of Moose Country Cabins not only didn't offer to help us find another place to stay - they didn't offer any future discounts on their cabins or even a voucher for a local restaurant or anything. In fact, the owner/manager actually blamed us, stating we should have contacted them sooner.... We were excited about staying here, but now we'll never have that experience.
