Hillcrest Motel, Luverne

I have mild asthma -- as such I've never before had an asthma attack but after 10 minutes in this room I was wheezing and whistling with every breath. As we had been looking for a hotel room for over three hours of driving and I was literally at my wits end we elected to sleep in our car and use the hotel for it's bathroom -- even though we had been hiking the day before we did not even shower. When I wrote to the owner of the motel instead of saying "sorry you had a bad stay, we'll look into it" he told me to get angry about something else and get a life. Nice. I've contacted the health inspector. I live in a 150 year old home in the middle of the woods, environmental triggers are not usually an issue for me; I'm convinced from the smell and my reaction that there are serious mold/mildew issues at the Hillcrest.
