Nice place to stay

We stumbled across this Inn on the internet, saw their site, and decided to call and find out more. They kept us on the phone for 15 minutes, and couldn't have been more helpful. We booked two nights, hoping for a third. They were booked but said they would call if their was opening. To our surprise, they called, and bent over backwards to accomodate our family of 4 in the only room available, a Jacuzzi suite(!) Whitehall is a nice town and well situated between Silver Lake State Park (beautiful,) Grand Rapids, Michigan Adventure Park, and Grand Haven. The Inn is also 1 block from the Hart-Montague Bike trail, which is 37 miles of great scenery. The hospitality at the Inn is second to none. They are a small little place, only 11 rooms, but the rooms are very clean and newly refurbished. Their Great Room, with the continental breakfast, is brand new and VERY nice. On the whole, our only criticism, if you can call it that, is that it is an older building. We had a small problem with the drain in our tub, but then again, they had the room next to us open, so they let us use the bathroom facilities there by opening the door between the two rooms. They had a plumber out the next day. On our third night, we moved to the Jacuzzi room. Very nice. If your not looking for 5 star accommodations, but a well priced, clean, hospitable and friendly place to stay, I can't recommend them more. We'll be going back. The nearby lake is nice, but very marshy. We would recommend going about 3-6 miles down S. Mears road to where it bends near Lake Michigan. There is a place to park and walk down by the shore. Great sunsets!!!
