Bridges Bay Resort, Arnolds Park

Right when we came it was bad.. first off the water park doesnt come with the room ONLY 2 passes do & you have to pay for the extra ones you want & since we had 5 in our family. i complained because no one told us that when we booked our room. So i did get my other 3 passes free but other then that its good more for little kids as my kids are 13, 15, & 17. The water is very very hot.

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

The room was beautiful! Very clean. I didn't like the set up for the fact that the girls had to walk through the bedroom (they slept on the small hide-a-bed) to use the bathroom. It was very dark at night and hard for them to see where they were going. Also, the "lake view" was stretching it. Yes, you could see the lake somewhat from our balcony. We thought it would be facing the lake but it wasn't. I didn't like that there wasn't anyone at the front desk at all times. The people above us were very noisy, It sounded like they were working out with weights and continually dropping them. The living room was cold yet the bedroom was warm. We couldn't get the same temp throughout the rooms. The 4:00 pm check-in is far too late. I have never had such a late check in and it was very inconvenient. The waterpark was nice, though small. The outdoor pool must not be heated because the water was very cold. The excercise room was very nice. It was nice that they had an arcade. Though we had to go to the front desk after 9 am one morning to ask them to unlock it. And there was garbage all over the floor which the clerk just left it there. We were very friendly to the workers when we saw them in the elevators or in the halls yet only one said good morning. The rest ignored us. When we checked out the clerk didnt even ask us about our stay, apparently he didn't care.

My family and I just completed our vacation/business trip where we stayed at Bridges Bay for the first time. We were incredibly thrilled with the cleanliness of the room, the price and even the water park. There were a couple of disappointing aspects of the hotel. The lack of automatic doors including the serious lack of acknowledgement from the very young staff was very shocking at first. When we arrived and moved our stuff in we were greeted at the front door by the young staff who actually held the door open (which we thought was so great and what a wonderful place). However, they were holding the doors open for some other staff members carrying stuff out and they almost shut the door in our face after that. This act sent us a clear message. We moved in with a young child and lots of luggage without help it was very warm outside and put a very bad taste in our mouth. Not one of the staff members ever once in our stay said hello or welcomed us coming or going with any sort of greeting. Infact if we had questions or walked up to the desk it was rare that anyone was there and if they were they were morose and certainly not quick to help in an efficient manner. I was also informed by the staff that the phones were broken throughout the hotel - thank goodness for cell phones I guess. Wireless Internet was also not reliable it seemed - on a business trip/family vacation this was very inconvenient. I called from my cell to the front desk to inquire if there were blow dryers in the rooms. I was told that there should be and if there wasn't then they were all checked out and there was nothing that could be done. We had a great time at the water park and the efficiency of our 1 bedroom suite was nice to have people over and host dinners. However, the layout of the room was particularly odd. You must enter in through the bedroom which can be separated by french doors to the living room and kitchen. We had a child with us who would go down in the bedroom for naps or early in the evening and there was no coming or going for the 2nd adult which became a real pain. The french doors did not provide a very good sound barrier as there was about one inch gap in the doors so any light or loud noises would effect anyone trying to drift off to sleep. Once asleep all was well and we managed to make the best of our time. Until again it was check out. There were zero luggage carts available. However, there are unprofessional signs posted throughout the hotel asking people to return their carts back to the front lobby as soon as they were done for other guests. I cannot help but wonder why would they not invest in more carts? We carried our belongings downstairs waiting enormous amounts of time for the elevator. One would think it was check out and many people coming and going slowed the elevator down. However, the elevator was like that all week. Again there was no acknowledgement from the staff let alone a greeting of some sort. We battled with the doors and came and went moving our stuff out. I checked us out today 7/13/2008 at 10am which took 20 minutes (a simple check out without extra charges it was very cut and dry) and I was never asked in that amount of time how our stay was.

I loved Triggs bay Resort because it is a family owned resort (my great aunt owns it) and the environment there is just amazing. We live in Colorado but at lake Okoboji it feels like a home away from home. The rooms are nice and they are slowly getting remodeled. Every is polite to everyone and we all share barbecues it is just a bunch of fun for your summer vacation. The lake is great, to swim, boat, and jet ski in, and the restaurants are amazing. have fun

Best Place ever! I have to say! My family has been going there for years! They have it all! Pool Playground. Game room. Rentals. Everything you would ever want! and now they just remodled! Its great looking! So close to everything you need but yet far enough away to not get all that traffic!

The staff at Triggs is the nicest group of people you will ever meet. Mike does a great job of maintaining the family atmosphere of the resort. The rooms have a full kitchen, which were very clean. There was so much to do, we could have stayed 2 weeks. What a GREAT vacation. Thanks to the Triggs staff.

Location was great for Arnold's Park where he had business all weekend. We brought three teenagers with us, and they had a great time. The Labor Day weekend wasn't the warmest, but the kids didn't notice since there was a heated pool. We rented boats and went on the lake, and all was enjoyed there. I would recommend this resort to everyone, especially families. The only changed need that I could see, is maybe a TV in one of the bedrooms. With 5 people, not everyone wanted to watch the same tv show during our evening hours.

What I liked about it was is that it was right by the water and it has a pool and a gameroom. I also like that it has a new part of it, but, I hated being upstairs. You have to go up and down all the time because you need your swimsuit or goggles or a towel. But they were pretty clean. Well the advantage of being upstairs is that you don't have to hear the people upstairs pounding on the floor! Oh, and what happened to the driving game in the gameroom? That was the best game there was there. Why did ya take it out? Ya, and tell that guy John that works there that the Lapke family is sorry for our little cousin, Madison, having her little brother, Will, ask you all of those questions, but she thinks you are pretty cute so don't feel bad! Tell him to get off instant messenger, too! That was what he was doing like the whole time he was working. On the laptop on instant messenger. So I don't know if we are coming to Triggs next year or not, because my aunt and uncle bought a cabin on the lake and I think we are staying there! Buh-Bye!
