The Burkehaven Lodge at Sunapee, Sunapee

I have read lots of reviews on the Burkehaven and can't believe those that made such rude, nasty comments about the owners! They are the nicest people. Rick and Doris (the owners) have welcomed us for the past three years with big smiles and hugs! We love our very clean, comfortable room and the continental breakfast is terrific! How anyone can call them rude is beyond me. Actually, those that make such nasty remarks that aren't true are "rude" ! Go to the Burkehaven, it's wonderful and you will love it!

I read reveiws after I had booked the trip and a few were not too good. WEll I am VERY picky and after what I read I was a little nervous. Well all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was very, very nice, our room was very clean, the view was amazing and I will not stay anywhere else the next time I go. In fact, I am making another reservation now. The pictures don't do it justice. It is the perfect family Inn. Nice and quiet and relaxing. I have no gripes or complaints what so ever.

The owner is cold, rude, and had we not been part of a larger party staying at the Burkehaven, we would have left immediately. The poor guy would do better as a prison guard. He seemed suspicious of everyone and was completely lacking in graciousness or understanding. There are plenty of other places to stay in Sunapee, choose any of them but this one!

We are middle aged travelers. We had a very bad experience at this place. The owner is extreamly rude . He should not be in this business
