Prairie Inn, Fairfield

We had planned to stay in Ketchem, ID, but an event in town had filled the hotels there and the next two smaller towns as well. We kept driving and decided that we would see what we could find and might even have to go as far as Mountain Home if we had to. We were driving past and noticed this place. There was one room left and the price was right. The owners were very friendly and recommended places to eat in town. The next morning we had a lively discussion regarding hunting and fishing with them, too. There is a nice living room area with a large screen TV, a small bookshelf filled with books to borrow, coffee and tea, and other amenities that I had missed the night before. My one problem is that I had asked if they had king beds or queen beds. I was told that they didn't have king beds, but the room we were being given had a queen bed. The bed was NOT a queen. It was a double. I just wish I had known it was a double at the start. Even so, we would stay here again.
