Great little \"mom & pop\" motel!

Having been around since the fifties, the Red Robin is something of an area landmark. I understand it had been sold a few years ago, but has recently been taken back over by the daughter of the original owners, and she's a treasure. When we checked out, I left my camera on the dresser and she actually got in her car and tried to track us down because we'd happened to mention where we were heading off to. It's not fancy, but it's clean and comfortable (of the half dozen or so places I stayed during a recent road trip through New England, this was hands down THE most comfortable bed I slept in!), and you can probably expect to see some more improvements now that it's under new (old) management. It's very conveniently located between Claremont and Charlestown, and close to Springfield, VT. It's also just down the road from Morningside Hang Gliding, if you're interested in taking an introductory tamdem flight while you're in the area. Sadly, I don't expect to be back Charlestown any time soon, but if I do go back, you can be sure I'll be staying at the Red Robin.
