a last resort
The best feature was that Denny's was next door - and I do not like Denny's.
This place is a small step up from a flop house. Noisy! Head of bed was about 20 ft from a highway - trucks go by all night long.
I called to reserve a non-smoking room. 10 minutes later when I arrived "we just booked the last non-smoking room, you will hav eto take a smoking room".
Fortunately - the smell of burned tobacco hid less pleasant odors.
The economy of this area has taken a big hit in the last 20 years: people of means don't go live here anymore and rarely visit here, so everything (hotels, stores, restaurants) cater to those looking to minimize cost, regardless of impact on quality.
