HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/06
I reserved 2 rooms for family members for a one night stay. I was horrified to learn that one of the rooms had flooded and when the guest went to request another room, he could not get a response from the manager. When I picked both parties up the next morning, I viewed both rooms. One room was indeed flooded (runoff from the hillside). When the manager was confronted the next morning, about his "lack of customer service", all he offered was a credit voucher for another nights stay. I demanded a full refund and finally got it, after much arguing with him. I looked at both rooms and aside from the flooding of the one, both rooms were in awful condidtion. Old worn out bedding and furniture. they were trying to conceal/control the mold smell by using baking soding in the corners on the floor. The motel was not even a quarter full, and if these rooms were the best they had...how pathetic. This motel was recently taken over by a new owner who also bought the Safari Motel next door. It is AAA rated, which in my opnion..should be removed. I would not recommend this to anyone.
