I loved having a little log cabin of our own. The owners built the cabins themselves, adding new ones as their profits allowed, and there are many little handcrafted decorations. We felt a little cramped in the sleeping area with two beds. The closet is simply a shelf and pole for hanging clothes at the foot of one of the beds. The bedding was a bit worn, but since they were quilts, that made them soft and cuddly. The bathroom is in the middle of the cabin, so you have a nice little sitting area with a couch, table and chairs, and a wetbar with microwave and fridge. The reading lamp by the couch was inadequate, but I usually find that the case at motels. But it was clean and quiet, and the homemade breakfast was very nice. An on-site laundry facility was a plus. We would stay here again.
This inn is comprised of individually built and decorated rustic, but elegant, log cottages. They are unexcelled in cleanliness, very well appointed, and very modern. Although Thane is a very small town, it is within 45 minutes of Jackson and there is an excellent German resteraunt directly across the street. A full, hot breakfast is provided. Most summers we spend several days here and find the inn and its surroundings very pleasant. It's a 3 1/2-4 star location in a one-horse town, but is well located for passers-thru or vacationers.
