very nice especially for that area
This is a beautiful country club that is hoping to do a ton of wedding business. They have a private, well landscaped section set off that was designed for weddings. Also numerous function rooms and 17 guest bedrooms (called Fieldstone Suites). The bedrooms are airy and large, ours had a little balconey with table and chair looking over the golf course and the hills beyond. Rooms were quite tasteful in linen green and tan colors. Had a mini fridge and jacuzzi in bath. Granite counters and floors. No flat screen TV, but otherwise a very upscale. The weddings are a little problematic. As the resort is so small if you are not part of the wedding party, you are in the wedding anyway! We heard guests running up and down the hall all night, banging doors and partying. That is fine if you are part of the group, but annoying if you are there for another reason. Food was good, not great, but the restaurant was jammed, standing room only on a Saturday night. They serve a beautiful brunch on Sunday's at 10 AM on the terrace looking over the golf course. They have a small fitness area in the locker room. No pool though. We paid $190 for a room, other places in the area charge around $100 but they are chain hotels like Holiday Inn Express. This place is not the easiest to find, so if you happen to be there for a function at night or golfling, treat yourself and stay the night rather than taking the twisting country roads back to civilization. America's Stonehedge is very close by, so you can drop by there.
