Maverick, Lander

The owners were rude, obnoxious and seem to really hate the customers. We stayed in Room 32 and it was a fire hazard with boarded up windows. The restaurant is filth and we will never ever eat there AGAIN! The owner/waitress was rude and annoying!

It was a great place to stay and a good night's sleep. The owner is friendly and helpful, and the dog 'lucky' is so nice to see, if you are a dog person! It is affordable and clean, and was a great night of sleep.

after 90 minutes waiting for 4 Maverick "specials" (biscuits & gravy with an egg, cooked to order!) no food. the owner came out of the kitchen and asked us to leave. the owners are very rude, angry people and I recommend any of the other very fine restaurants in Lander.

The room was filty and smelled. The carpet was down right disgusting. The walls are dark rust brown, dark brown carpet, dark burgandy curtains and bedding. The owners were there until 11 pm working on the restraunt, pounding and sawing along with their barking dogs. It was the most sleepless, depressing stay I have ever experienced.

Selected this motel based on other reviewers ratings (i.e., 4.5 stars), but it was a dump. Room we stayed in appeared to have original finishes and furnishings from 40 years ago. Front door was not exterior door (i.e., hollow wood laminate door with holes punched on inside) so it could not have prevented anyone from pushing it in. The A/C unit, although it did work, looked like the filter had never been changed. There was not smoke detector. The shower enclosure was falling off the walls. The sheets on one of the beds were dirty - there were two stains and hair. When this was brought to the attention of the manager, she came up and told us that the maid said she had cleaned the room and changed the sheet. When we showed her the stains, she said they looked like rust stains. I am not sure why it is OK to have rust stains on the sheets. 6-people, $90. For half that, it might have been OK. In defense of the motel, they did let us check-in earlier than the stated time, and it does appear that they are renovating some of the facility. So, someday it may be worth the amount they charge.

motel is close to everywhere. rooms are very clean. i stayed there with my friends. it has nice restaurant. i recommend prime rib, very delicious and i have to mention breakfast too. best breakfast in town.

been there couple times for my climbing experience. last time i went was on march and motel was renovated. it has clean rooms and nice room service and also very nice restaurant. i do like breakfast most. fast and nice service. It has free high speed internet access. perfect.
