Holiday Motel, Howes Cave

After reading some reviews on other websites and looking at their homepage, I thought the Holiday Motel would be a great choice for our trip. It was close to the Caverns, which was on our itinerary. When we got there, we were shocked to found a run-down old-fashioned motel. We had to pay cash because the owner didn't want to run the charge card. The rooms have just a plain houshold lock with a chain. When my boyfriend pulled on the door, it seemed like it was going to come out of the jam. There was no alarm clock (Thank God for cell phones), no iron, no blow dryer. The TV did work and had cable, and there was an air conditioner. It was clean. I would not recommend this motel, but if it's a last resort then OK. Bring your own soap, shampoo, and other necessities. There is a Walmart down the street. :-)
