Parrott House, Schoharie

Not sure what another reviewer is talking about-- ate at the wonderfully historic Parrott House recently--from out of town and wanted to support a local biz in a devastated area--we had a fabulous burger and fries ($6), pulled pork sandwich ($5), and a dozen delicious wings ($6), Also was able to taste local beer ($3,50) so definitely no price gouging here! As an RN, I keep my eyes out for any kind of safety/health issue and like another reviewer wrote, did not see any, The Parrott House has been in Schoharie forever---1970 was its 100th birthday---go eat there and find out for yourself what a great place it is and SUPPORT SCHOHARIE COUNTY!!!!

I have the disagree with the previous comment listed on this site - I just ate at the Parrott House and the wait staff and owner were extremely friendly. Not only did they let us look around the entire place, where not a single trace of mold or a smell were found, they came over and talked about all the renovations and parties they are doing to the place - while, might I say, keeping the integrity of the history of the place. Go to the Parrott House if you are looking for great food, a drink, and most of all a small town, we know our neighbors, and actually like them.

I recieved the worst service and when asked for mangement, the owner, Roger, was rude and unhelpful. They got my order wrong and when they finally got it right it was midiocre at best.

A friend and I had lunch at The Parrott House today and were very satisfied. The food was excellent, the service was good, the place was clean and we were so happy to see The Parrott House coming back to life under new ownership. The desserts were expensive but who needs dessert anyway? The coffee was fresh and tasted good. We will definitely recommend it to friends and return there for lunch or dinner again.

HOW SHALL I START/ A DOG TOOK A PLATE OFF SOMEONE'S TABLE AND RAN THROUGH THE BUILDING WITH IT. THE BACK DINING ROOM HAS DIRTY CARPET AND A POOL TABLE. THE FOOD IS JUST SAD, SERVICE ALARMING. WE HAVE DINED HERE FOR MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS AND HAVE SPENT THE NIGHT ON OCCASION, NO MORE.
