What a joke!

We stayed at the Aladdin. Upon check-in, we were immediately warned that children needed to be quiet due to other guests. We were also advised our bathroom was across the hall and if we needed a shower, we could come over to the main building. We were not advised of this when booking the reservation. We paid $154/night for a room that had 2 queen beds that looked nothing like the picture on the website. The door caught on the carpeting of the floor, so you had to work to get into the room. It was the last game of the Stanley Cup Finals and our TV didn't work. We called maintenance and they couldn't fix it either, so we had to go somewhere else to watch TV. The paint was peeling off the roof and the mattress was like sleeping on cardboard. There was a window a/c unit, so you could hear every car that drove by. The bathroom was across the hall and another room was right next to the bathroom. Very uncomfortable using it in the middle of the night. The next morning we got up at 6am to leave and my husband was taking a bath while I was drying my hair. I'm sure the guests in the next room were very happy about that. Next, the power goes out and we learn that the breaker blew. We called the front desk but they were in no hurry to fix it. I tried to finish in the room, but there wasn't one mirror and plugs were few and far between. The bathroom floor was soaking wet upon arrival and had mold on the ceiling and the paint was peeling off. We decided to go to the "home cooked breakfast" to get something for our money. The area was so small it was hard to find a seat. They cooked some type of egg cassarole with something green added?? The hashbrowns looked like microwaved frozen hashbrowns and after deciding to eat toast, we pulled 4 pieces of moldy bread out of the bag. After not being able to eat, we decided to leave and get a 99 cent hot dog from the gas station on the way out of town. Nobody was at the front desk when checking out. After calling the front desk to complain, the manager said she would refund me $25! Wow! The town itself is neat and quaint but the Lava Hot Springs Inn is definately not the place to stay. I would have expected to pay about $25 for the type of room and service. The hot spring pools are full of leaves, etc. and do not look very clean. It was a horrible experience.
