Melitas Motel & Cafe, Chiloquin

Very friendly staff. Pet Friendly. Older country style motel but clean and reasonably priced. Don't expect the 5 star amenities such as swimming pool, continental breakfast, suites, etc. Just a restful comfortable place to sleep and eat at their EXCELLENT cafe on location. We enjoyed the simple rustic knotty pine rooms with all the basics needed.

Stayed in room 311, very rustic, very cool...if you like the old style road motels, then Melitas is for you...very good restaurant & lounge next door..

We have driven by this place many times on our way down Rt 97 and never stopped, and finally did. I love French Dips and I had one of the best French Dips I have ever had in my life. The staff was totally cool and friendly and it is obviously a place people come back to over and over again from the way the waitresses personally greeted almost everybody who came in the restaurant. Also had a piece of marion berry pie for desert (homemade) and it was to-die-for. From now on if we go down 97, I'm getting a French Dip at Melita's

We stayed at Melita's Motel for several days in late June 2003 while visiting Train Mountain. We also ate all of our meals there. The food and service were very good. The motel is nothing fancy, but we were comfortable and glad to find someplace to stay in an out of the way location like Chiloquin. It was very convenient. The staff was very nice, our room was clean and we were quite comfortable. We are planning on staying there again for 5 days from June 29 -- July 7th. We wouldn't go back if we thought there would be a problem.
