Vinehurst Inn, Bath

A toilet in a hotel bathroom is a basic human necessity and we spent 2 and a half days concerned that we might actually have to use the toilet in our bathroom. We had to try and take advantage of the use of public toilets while out and about visiting wineries and restaurants. If your butt while sitting is the same size as this miniature toilet bowl was, then you won’t have any problem with the paper work. The undersized toilet in our room was tucked away in a small very confining space that does not accommodate average size people or larger. We complained at the front desk and asked to change rooms since our friend’s room toilet accommodations were normal and not in a confined space. We were most disappointed in the pregnant woman at the front desk who took a non-sympathetic stance with us stating that no one has ever complained about this before and refused to switch our room. I’d be willing to bet that she too would struggle using our assigned toilet. We were riding with friends or I would have left. You’d think you could at least get an accommodating toilet with this hotel charging 120 bucks a night plus tax. I won’t stay there again. It made for a very uncomfortable experience in what should have been a glorious weekend in New York wine country.

we booked four rooms for our party, all of which were decorated differently, comfortable and very, very clean. fresh, fragrant, better-quality sheets and towels and an almost "like home" atmosphere. what a nice change from average hotel/motel copycats! the owner was very amenable when we asked to move to a larger room, as our original was very small. apparently we missed an impromptu barbecue and bon-fire in the back courtyard hosted by another party! the patio lounging area looked inviting, and made us wish for a drier, slightly warmer weekend... we'd definitely recommend the Vinehurst Inn both for a quiet weekend getaway for two or a fun group event!

We had a suite and it was very nice. We enjoyed the whirlpool except there was not heat in the room and it was chilly when we got out of the whirlpool. The amenities were super. There were wine glasses, dishes, and bottled water everyday. The only problem I had was there was no tv in the room with the whirlpool.

I booked a standard hotel room - it was clean, comfortable and they placed an emphasis on providing high thread count sheets and quality bedding. Service was friendly and attentive.

We stayed the night of Labor Day and the next day. The room was lovely and we took a tour of some others. All are different and tastefully and beautifully decorated. No old white towels here - real towels, lovely bedspreads and bedding, curtains and shower curtains. All kinds of themed rooms - all comfortable and clean. Easy access to the wine trail on Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Check out the air museum down the street and the cute town of Hammondsport.

Beautiful rooms and great location for touring the Finger Lakes...especially Keuka Lake. Patio with fireplace is a fun place to gather with friends. Beautiful autum leaves and the smell of of grapes in the air makes October a perfect time to go.
