Falls Motel, Montour Falls

Myself and 2 cousins found this place on the internet and absolutely love the place. We have been staying there for years since we fell in love with scenic Montour falls & Watkins glen and the many wineries of seneca lake.The owner Phil and his now wife Linda are great hosts and have become friends of ours since we have been going back now for years,the staff at the very close by restaurant which offers good food are equally friendly. The rooms at the motel are very comfortable and always clean and we can't wait to go back year after year!!!

What a pleasant surprise our stay was at this motel! It is close to the beautiful falls just off Main Street, just a few miles from Watkins Glen, the Finger Lakes wineries and real close to the NYS Fire Academy (the reason for our trip) We booked the suite - a bit more pricey than their regular rooms- but really nice. It had a king size bed, recliners, a fireplace, tv with DVD/VCR, a huge whirlpool tub and a small kitchenette area. Best of all it was absolutely spotless. The motel backs up on a large stone hill, and the adjacent lounge actually has the stone hill as one wall inside it. A gentle stream of water trickles down, it's own small water fall inside. The lounge has good,reasonably priced food and great wines from the surrounding wineries. The bartender Jim was great- he offered us tastes of some wines prior to us ordering. Jim is a great resource for the area, so be sure to sit at the bar and eat if you get the chance. The staff and management were very friendly and helpful. We realized during our stay that we had left our phone charger at home. My husband went to the office to see if there might be one in the lost and found that fit our phone. The owner was there and offered us his own. He brought it in the next morning from home - talk about customer service! We would certainly return and recommend this motel to others.
