The Lighthouse Inn, Erie

Likes-We called for a late arrival and the desk was willing to leave the key in the room and the door unlocked, which made us feel they weren't worried about theft. Owner lives upstairs over restaurant so could have woke them up if necessary. Room was clean when we arrived. Dislikes-There were sometype of flying insects in room, like 20 of them, looked like mosquitos but easy to kill. Decor and bathroom needs updated. The green bathtub drained slow and when we flipped the toggle it came loose from the tub. Checkout was strange, no-one was at the office at 10 am suppose to dial number to get attendant yet the phone was removed from it's place. Finally went into restaurant and got help.

Staying at The Lighthouse Inn was a nice experience. No complaints at all. Everything worked and was clean. Price was great.

Great hotel....clean rooms...convenient location...friendly and timely service...we will be back next year....restaurant offered great food at a good price...waitresses were friendly and efficient...overall pleasant experience....

Great place to stay! Everyone was wonderful at the motel and the restaurant. Room was very nice and always cleaned good every day when we got back from Presque Isle Beach. The AC seemed to be working pretty hard but it did work. And when you stay there, you have to go to the restaurant for breakfast! It can't be beat! We will definitely go back, what a wonderful place!

Our stay at the Light House Inn in early August 2007 was very pleasant. The room was clean, equipped with wireless internet, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The staff was help and friendly. The Restaurant service a wonderful breakfast and the table service was great. Our children, ages 6 and 9, enjoyed the hotel. If you are planning a trip focused on the sate park, you are about twenty minutes away, down town is much closer. Bottom line, we would stay here again. We thought it was a good value.

We stayed here a weekend in October for our son's wedding. The reception was held at the golf course right down the road from the hotel. It was the perfect location for us. When we registered on Friday afternoon the girl at the desk was very helpful and polite. When we got in our room we called for more towels. A short time later the same desk girl came with our towels and asked if there is anything else we needed. We found the rooms very clean and surprised we even had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. WE utilized the refrigerator in the room because my husband is diabetic and needed his insulin refrigerated, many of the higher priced places do not have a refrigerator. Sunday morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast and to our surprise there was the same girl who checked us in and brought us towels working as a waitress at the restaurant. She was her usual pleasant self. The blueberry pancakes and french toast were wonderful! The only thing lacking in the room was a hairdryer but we brought our own.
