Best Family Run Inn In Erie
By marie p, 11/5/12
Owners are a wonderful family they work very hard and go out of there way to make your stay as nice and comfortable as possible. It is very quiet here and the rooms are kept really clean. Food here is located right outside motel door it is so safe and they have wireless internet.. My brother has stayed here, my niece, and this is my third time in last three years and I am coming back in Nov again. Cost is fits any budget. A special dog (owners) who is gentle senior is out basking in the yard on summer days.

Fabulous
By Jackie, 8/2/12
This is such a nice, quaint place. The staff are lovely, wonderful, and very hardworking people. The rooms are neat and clean. Prices are affordable, comparatively speaking. This is not The Ritz, but someplace to feel at home. The food in the restaurant was absolutely devine. We loved this place! It was in a very nice neighborhood with a lot of trees. We felt the staff and service were outstanding and you don't find this in the big places. So courteous and nice. We will be back.

Rude Staff Needs to Learn Proper Manners
By Jordan Mason, 7/16/12
I called the Lighthouse Inn and dialed 0 for front desk/reservations. I reached the dining room instead. The lady who answered the phone chastised me for calling her in the middle of her lunch rush. I apologized and explained that I had dialed Zero, not the dining room. She said she works both phones, told me call back later, and hung up on me. Fat chance I will ever call back. Just glad I found out how rude and nasty the innkeeper was BEFORE I checked in. Oh and as far as the location, I looked at a map and noticed there is no lighthouse so dont expect the view from their website.

inexpensive, modest, clean
By Richard, 7/14/12
Don't feel like paying 85+ per night? Give this place consideration. Nice staff, weekly rates. Nothing fancy but ideal for those on a budget

reviews are right
By James, 6/18/12
Wanted to stay close to Presque Isle but all motels were booked. Ended up searching internet for room. Found Light House Inn. Reviews I read about this motel were very good so I booked a room for a night. Well they were true and the review system works. It was a very friendly, nice ,quiet, clean motel. The setting is very nice and is in a park like setting and within a short walking distance to Lake Erie for sunset. Nice restrauant there also. Very inexpensive. Will go there again next time I go to Erie.

Trustworthy and yet strange.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/30/11
Likes-We called for a late arrival and the desk was willing to leave the key in the room and the door unlocked, which made us feel they weren't worried about theft. Owner lives upstairs over restaurant so could have woke them up if necessary. Room was clean when we arrived. Dislikes-There were sometype of flying insects in room, like 20 of them, looked like mosquitos but easy to kill. Decor and bathroom needs updated. The green bathtub drained slow and when we flipped the toggle it came loose from the tub. Checkout was strange, no-one was at the office at 10 am suppose to dial number to get attendant yet the phone was removed from it's place. Finally went into restaurant and got help.

Loved this place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/08
Great place to stay! Everyone was wonderful at the motel and the restaurant. Room was very nice and always cleaned good every day when we got back from Presque Isle Beach. The AC seemed to be working pretty hard but it did work. And when you stay there, you have to go to the restaurant for breakfast! It can't be beat! We will definitely go back, what a wonderful place!

plesant stay in Erie
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/07
Our stay at the Light House Inn in early August 2007 was very pleasant. The room was clean, equipped with wireless internet, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The staff was help and friendly. The Restaurant service a wonderful breakfast and the table service was great. Our children, ages 6 and 9, enjoyed the hotel. If you are planning a trip focused on the sate park, you are about twenty minutes away, down town is much closer. Bottom line, we would stay here again. We thought it was a good value.
