Chateau Lodge, Oregon

I did not like anything about this place not it was dirty new owners don't speak English. Don't waist your money go to the paddle wheel at least they speak English and its cleaner

For $100 a night, I expected a larger room, but everything seemed in order. It was a place to sleep. No frills, but everything was clean, and the service was good. The room was thoughtfully decorated, and the hotel was quiet. There is a nice little corner bench with a good view of Blackhawk.

I stumbled upon this place while I was traveling. The rates were reasonable and my room was nice and cozy and you can tell that the staff here pay great attention to the cleaning. I have this little test I do. I check under the beds, if I can(some places have it boxed out), if it is clean under the bed I usually find that everything is in order. I checked under both beds and there was not even any dust under there. I found everything in my room to be clean and in order. The staff were very nice and willing to help in any way that they could. The office does close at 8pm but the live in manager answered the door after hours and was still ready to help me. I think that this is one of the few places that truly remembers what customer service is. Admittedly there are not alot of amenities such as a restaurant or a pool but the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff make the Lodge a great place to stay.

I loved this cute little lodge. It is so charming and everyone is so nice. We were taraveling this winter and the weather started to get somewhat bad, we were driving by and saw this little lodge and decided to stop. The Manager was so nice. Our room was so cozy and warm We stayed in the Hunting room. It was decorated in a hunting motiff but don't worry they didn't have any dead animals in the room. The manager called our room after we checked in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. I slept so soundly. The next morning when were getting ready to leave she cleaned the snow off our car for us! It was terribly cold outside too! Apparently each room is decorated with a different theme. Our room was spotless I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel room that was cleaner. We plan on going back there this summer as I want to stay in the Garden room and explore the town a little more. Oregon, IL is a quaint little town. I'll be back for sure

I was attending a family wedding and the Bride had blocked rooms there. I didn't know whaqt to expect and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The manager was very nice and helpful. We had relatives that stayed elsehere and had to pay more money. I felt that we lucky to have stayed at the Lodge. Our rooms were spotless and everyone who worked there went out of thier way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. I have worked in a hotel myself so I peeked under the beds and behind the doors and it was very clean. We stayed in the garden room and the room was very cute. I am glad we stayed and even though I had never been to the town of Oregon before I will go back because I aqm hooked by the charm of the Lodge and the beauty of the area.

We wanted to get out of the city for the week-end but with gas prices the way they are we didn't want to go too far. We saw this place on the internet and decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. We were greeted with a smile and they even made our children feel comfortable. I was clean and quiet and friendly. The manager was actually outside blowing bubbles with my children. We felt like we were a million miles from the city but we were only about 80 miles away. Nest time we will take our fishing poles

My family and I were passing through Illinois after adopting our brand new puppy! We needed a place to stay for the night before we headed back home, and are so glad that the Chateau Lodge was there! It was just what we were looking for! I particularly enjoyed the available a nonsmoking room, and was very appreciative of the helpful staff and the tidyness of the lodge as a whole. The kids first night with their puppy was definitely one to remember! If ever we're in the area again, this is where we're going to go!!

I found this place after many hours in the car and I was exhausted. i stepped into an office that was quaint and the staff ready to accomodate my needs. My room was so warm and cozy. They called it the Garden Room and I had a magnificent view of the Blackhawk Statue. It was peaceful and quiet. My room was immaculate as well as being decorated so charmingly. This is a place to go to get away from it all.

We stayed at the Lodge while we were in town for a wedding. We were suprised at how nice everyone was and how clean the rooms were. We stayed in the Cowboy room and loved the decor.
