Bayview Inn, Crescent City

I was really hoping to be closer to he ocean, but the room was clean and quiet, an reasonably priced. Next time I will try somewhere else.

Affordable, clean, and near everything we wanted...food and restaurants. Large room size, helpful desk clerk and a lobby computer for me to check in w/my office in Maine. Very satisfied with the choice!!

Bayview Inn The main building rooms stink like animal urine and dust so bad but you cant open the window because of no screens. When out for the day someone entered our room (and yes the do not enter sign was on our door) turned on all the light and opened the curtains, thank goodness they left are stuff alone while doing whatever they needed. The neighbors had a 21st birthday party and went on till 4:00 am and ran up and down the stairs till then. Our family stayed in the newer built rooms which was a plus with the AC but then they and another room had people trying to enter their rooms in the middle of the night and again in the early morning hours. They put paper or gum on the peep holes as well. The front desk lady just said oh well we will have security walk around tonight and check it out because she found it hard to believe this would happen.

needs renovated. the rooms in the 350s are the nicest, so request one of those.

This is a great place for the outdoors oriented person to stay. The surfer, fishermen, hunter, hiker and the person just driving through will appreciate it's simplicity, easy access, privacy and cleanliness. If you have any problems or questions the staff moves quickly to make it right. The place is locally owned and operated. There are more upscale places to stay (The Lighthouse Motel across the road comes to mind) but for a clean, welcoming, convenient and economical place the Bayview is the place for me.

We ended up checking out of this place as soon as we could!!! After finding pubic hairs all over the bathtub and bathroom floor(which i have pictures of) And even the water was running brown when people were trying to shower.

After regretably declining to stay at other establishments, we picked this one largely due to the "whirlpool" tubs. I should have first looked inside, decor was 70's {inside}, as someone had mentioned, the bed was less than acceptable, worn and stained. I happened to catch something in the corner of my eye, a mice or rat!! Not to mention a cockroach hanging around the micro! A night of unrest was all we got. I explained all this to the checkout man in the morning, wanting to get the hell out of there, and he stated "well that is one perk you didn't have to pay for". I would urge anyone who might even entertain the idea of staying here, not do so. Also, the "view" you get is of a building and dumpster!

Clean, large room. Great lighting throughout, spacious bathroom counters. Friendly front office staff. Highly recommend.

Nice exterior. The exterior of the hotel looks like a brand new hotel. dont be fooled. Carpet was nasty. The room stunk. Matresses were stained. Needs Interior renovation.

We were very surprise to get this hotel for under $80 a night. It turned out to be a very nice hotel. Very large room with king bed and very long bathroom counter space. Even had a refrigerator and microwave. The desk clerk warned us that the wireless internet might not work in the addition building where our room was located, but we did not have any trouble with getting on the internet. I would definitely stay here again.
