This was the creepiest place I have ever been in. The room was painted sanitarium green, the railings were sticky, The bed seems to have been the original one from the time the place was built. Historic doesn't always mean charming. You could film a horror movie there.

Very Pleasant Neighborhood Restaurant/Bar!!!

I live very close to the Wayne Hotel and am so happy they have cleaned it up and turned into a nice place to stop in. If you are just in the mood for a couple of drinks with friends or plan an evening dinner....you will not be disappointed. I am rooting for this place, they have done remarkable things there. Keep up the good work guys, I am coming back!!!!

Thoroughly impressed...they renovated the entire hotel including the rooms, bar and lobby. The staff was friendy and accomodating and the restaurant, bar and food are all top notch. If you planning a trip to or through Honesdale you owe it to yourself to check out the Hotel Wayne.

The Place to Stay in Wayne County

The transformation that has taken place at the Wayne is remarkable. Renovation has brought brightness to this landmark hotel. The food and service in the restaurant is top rate and worth the trip alone.

Hotel Wayne - Great Stay

I recently stayed at this hotel while attending a wedding in the area. Apparently it had some less than great history, but my experience was very good. Its really a unique little hotel. It is historic, in the 1800s I believe. A great resturant and loctaed right down town. Can't beat it in my mind for a stop in that area.

What a difference!!!!!!!!!!

This place used to be a DUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The transformation is amazing...it is just opening now and I did not stay there but the Manager showed me the rooms... I had a drink at the bar and had dinner which was great..The Chef, David, is a CIA graduate and the food was certainly the best in the area and would compete with some really fine restauarants..and very reasonably priced. And I understand the room rates will be very reasonable. The Manager, Jim, kept repeating the word "value"
