Royal Amsterdam Hotel, Pella

I had a great stay at the Royal Amsterdam. The service was excellent as was the room. One thing I especially enjoyed about the hotel was Monarch's Restaurant which gave a great option for dining at the same place I was staying. (I would recommend giving the onion rings a try)

Royal treatment from the time we checked in until we departed. The great staff just treated us like family.

We had the pleasure to stay here while visiting family and friends. The accommodations were perfect for my family and I. The staff were very helpful and curteous. I love the location of being in the heart of Pella - everything is just a walk away. Great experience - we will definitely be back!

I have taken my family to the Royal Amsterdam for several years now and have always been very pleased with the earnestness of the staff to make our stay as pleasant as possible. It is located just off the square in Pella, where many shops and several quaint eateries are within easy walking distance. Or if you feel like hiding out, try The Monarchs restaurant in the hotel. It's notably more expensive than other options in town, but it's nice to have a more elegant choice right where you are staying. Alas, there is no pool for the kids, but the Pella Aquatics Center is within a seven blocks or so. Red Rock Lake is also within a 10 minute drive for more water fun. Within view of the hotel is the third largest operating windmill in the US. It's probably larger than you might imagine. We will be returning again this year to the Royal Amsterdam and are looking forward to our visit. You can't beat the hospitality of Iowans.

When business brought us to Pella in October, we were more than impressed with the Royal Amsterdam hotel’s accommodations. The Royal Amsterdam is a well thought out, welcoming hotel that strives to make you feel as relaxed as possible through it’s many features. The staff was welcoming, hospitable and organized. I felt “right at home” as soon as we walked into the lobby. We had 40 members in our group and the staff at the Royal Amsterdam handled our large number with ease. The hotel was conveniently located in Pella’s historical downtown district, providing opportunities for shopping and site seeing while its centralized location was also convenient when visiting the community’s large manufacturing businesses. Well-located parking options made car access a breeze. The rooms were large and charming. A continental breakfast, in house restaurant and lounge rounded out the impressive amenities. We highly recommend the Royal Amsterdam Hotel whenever your travel needs bring you to Pella.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Amsterdam Hotel in Pella, Ia. We have stayed at several hotels in the area to visit family and will deifinitely be making the Royal Amseterdam our choice to stay from now on. The staff and management were very helpful. The restaurant in the hotel (Monarch's) had great food and service. Try the lasagna and Dutch Salad! Plus you're right in the heart of Pella. We could literally walk everywhere we wanted to go. Plus the "canal" is right outside. The kiddos loved it and so did the adults. Can't wait to go back!

This is a beautiful well run hotel in the heart of Pella. I stay at the Royal Amsterdam several times a year when I am in Pella on business. The manager, Sherri Te Grootenhuis, is exceptional and very accomodating, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Monarchs restaurant serves good food and the bar is very cozy as well. All the shops are within walking distance, I would highly recommend this hote. Kristina S.

Rooms were very large and service was incredibly friendly and accomodating. Hotel has great ambiance and the location on the canal downtown is hard to beat. Walk to downtown shops just outside your door and enjoy the beauty of this small town. Hotel was quiet, had a small town feel with larger hotel amenities.

Central College families and those who want to explore downtown Pella - The Royal Amsterdam is the place to stay. - Special rates for Central families - Very large rooms that are white-glove spotless - Suites, one on one instant personal service - Park below hotel for $5 or across the street - Continental breakfast - Workout room - Restaurant and bar with huge menu, mouthwatering meals and large portions - save room! - Walk to theater, bakeries, shops, windmills, and campus We will never stay anywhere else!

We travel with groups ranging from 15 to 30 people at a time. Our stays are always thoroughly enjoyed. The location is very convenient to town and to the working windmill in this charming town. The staff is warm and welcoming and since we come several times a year know us by name. The accomodations are lovely and comfortable. The restaurant at the hotel is convenient, serves great food and also is very flexible - even staying open for us for Monday night football. The bar is great. Even though a business trip it feels like a vacation. Can't wait to go back.
