If you're drinking and golfing a lot, maybe...
We booked what they called a log cabin in the woods, to get some family cool-out time at $239 a night. It turned out to be a construction site; we could barely park, and the workers had extension cords running in and out of our luxury accomodations, including one out of the bathroom window. Work, of course, started at 7am. My in-laws, who rented one of the cottages, had water that smelled like fish and an infestation of ladybugs and an anthill- yes, an anthill- in their wonderful accomodations. I called the desk, and was informed that their Director of Operations and their Director of Guest Services (ooh, important titles) would confer, and get back to us. No call ever came. They just didn't care. Oh, almost forgot- our four bathrooms all had ice-cold water, probably from the breakers tripped by the power tools being powered out of our bathroom. We didn't try the restaurant, on the theory that this incredible carelessness applied to food could be dangerous. But on the scenic front, the area as you drive in is littered with crumbling houses and rusted out cars. Never, never, never stay here unless you have to go on business. Family- don't even think about it.
