Mid-Town Motel, The, Tionesta

Started staying @ the Mid-Town in 1982. Wouldn't stay anywhere else! Archie & Helen, and now Kathy & Mark are the best! Such pleasant, happy, awesome people! See you tomorrow!

The rooms that we stayed in had front porches with a porch swing and patio chairs that we used every night. The rooms were very nice for the price. Had a clean microwave and mini fridge. Did not use the electric stove top. Bathroom tile very nice and the bathroom itself was clean with very white towels! Bedroom with two large beds - we fit two to a bed with room to move! The bedroom had a lot of space around the beds. The street next to the motel leads to the river and also to the lighthouse - which is very beautiful! We were close to the action when the biker rally came into town - no trouble at all. Our canoe trip plans were to stay at Eagle Rock but they were full and I am glad because this place was nicer! Eagle Rock is a great place for renting canoes though! The airconditioners are the only thing that may need replaced soon. They seemed to be older units - they only kept the bedroom cold when door was kept shut - not the kitchen/living area.

very homelike accomodations run by a very friendly family. located within walking distance of almost everything worthwhile in the area. best value in a motel that we know of. period. bob and jo
