An Experience to Remember ;-)
No, it's not the Hilton, hehe...But, What it is, the Hilton or any 5 Star motel will never have! Like the previous guest, I totally agree, with what she said about Kerry (The hard working, very nice Midwestern Gentleman)...Not only is he trying to make a comfortable experience for a traveler, and make a go of an older motel, but he is doing it alone and works full time! ... I love the Midwest/I am from Ca. originally (Ca. and the Midwest IMO, are like night and day with respect to size, life values, etc.)~~~
One will know from the moment they step foot in or at "The Arabian Motel", that they are going to learn a bit about honest, hard working, good living, and genuine Mid Western Values, as long as Kerry is there
;-)...Bless his heart! For a man, hehe, he does real well, as to keeping the rooms clean, and his hospitality is above and beyond any motel in that price range, or any motel (for the most part) above that price range.
My experience was one I will cherish and remember, always! I had been coming through from I-80 from Evanston, Wyoming, (originally started ~~my trek back home~~ from Ca.) I was heading East on I-80 to Iowa, the roadway had some very dangerous spots/ice/blowing snow/slush/HIGH winds, etc.--Saw many crashes and was very surprised to find such a pleasant place to rest my weary self.
The bed was very comfortable, and made well. (the sheets smelled nice, etc.) January is not good month to travel I-80; I had no choice, so I was fortunate to happen upon the "Arabian Motel and Kerry"...What was a road trip out of hell, became a pleasant rest-stop and I found time to reflect on what really counts in life, IMO. -- Thanks Kerry! -- If you are a weary or tired traveler, and happen to be near Kimball, Nebraska, I highly suggest Kerry and the Arabian Motel. Or, if you'd like to learn or experience a sense of true Midwestern values look Kerry and The Arabian Motel up ;-)...I made it home to Sioux City, Iowa the following evening--So, if you are traveling to Omaha, NE, or anywhere near Omaha, from Kimball, NE, or even Cheyenne, WY, it's a doable and decent drive ahead, and the Arabian is an ideal stop, both physically/geographically and mentally ;-) Hang in there Kerry, and thanks for making this weary traveler a bit more comfortable! The mold was broken when God made you!
Carla ... just read the guidelines--cannot leave an email address, or I would--Oh yeah, and if you have a laptop, unlike some motels, you will get a connection staying at the Arabian; I did ;-) It's not even advertised, as many motels advertise (I believe ~~~ the come on point for many motels), and then one finds out the connection does not work, or barely works...Happy Travels!
