Monroe Hotel, Butler

My husband and I love eating at Monroe! It's a great place to bring our kids to eat also- very nice family atmosphere. The food is stellar, everyone has been polite and we've never had a long wait for our food (Even when the place is packed). The servings are huge- we always get to take some home. The prices are awesome. Very, very affordable. Monroe has always been our first choice when we dine out.

I have dined at the Monroe several times over the years, and has often held host to family birthday dinners and a few graduation dinners. My favorite dish was the French Club Sandwich. It is a ham and turkey with cheese sandwich on a skewer and comes with either fries or homemade chips. After a recent incident, I will not be back again. I called and placed the order for takeout. When I got it home, I found several pieces of hairs of "questionable" origin. I called the Monroe Hotel and talked to a female that seemed too busy to be concerned and told me I could get another one for free. (Yeah, that's what I want...) I called back the next day and talked to another female. I told her what had happened and she said "Oh that's repulsive!" and she handed the phone to the owner. So the owner was contacted, and I hope that some sort of action was taken and quality control is in place. I hope that this is an isolated incident. Therefore I say, prior to this incident, I have always had a nice dinner and service, but I will not be giving them my business any longer and have suggested this to my family and friends. Diners beware, and good luck.

Havent had anything that wasn't great. The Monrore Burger and Chips is a must try. people have always been great! never hasitate to go with one of the specials.
