Allen's Acres Resort, Hampton Bays

The most disgusting motel i've stayed in, including $25 rooms in the middle of nowhere. cinderblock walls, no phones, stained sheets, sliding door that wouldnt close all the way, bugs, dead bugs, holes in floors, garden hose connections coming out of holes in floors, techno music blasting from pool area starting at 7 in the morning..all that for $245 a night. skip it if you have any respect for yourself.

Gotta say the place is weird, but in high season it was practically the only place affordable. We just needed a place to sleep one night after a concert in Westhampton, and weren't planning to spend much time in the room. I would definitely stay here again under the same circumstances. Weird place - weird yard, weird room layout - lots of dated stuff. But it was spotlessly clean, the shower was great, had a fridge, comfortable beds. The room was an L-shape and huge with a lot of empty space - OK by me. Certainly not anything stylish. We arrived late in the evening after the office was closed but the manager was sure to leave a key in an envelope for us. No problems. This is not the type of place you want to book for a vacation, where you also want to enjoy a nice room and relax in it. This is the closest motel to one of the most beautiful beaches on Long Island, Tiana beach, and you can walk to it from Allen's Acres (basically you have to walk because only cars with special stickers can park in the beach parking lots). If you had a bike to zip over there it would be perfect.
