Bed Bugs!!
By soho guest, 09/06/09
We had a room with three separate beds, which was the feature we chose the place for. Hotel is simple, no-frills, with bare brick walls - what we expected for the low price. Waking up in the morning, two of three beds had bugs crawling all over them. We brought this to the attention of the manager and he said "a lot of hotels have this problem" and offered us a 50% discount. We persisted and got the room for free, but we will not return.

Would stay again
By ANNE, 06/22/09
For the rates it's a great deal! Rooms are small but clean, staff friendly and responsive, great location. Didn't see one bug. If you want a lot of luxury (and the rates that go with it), this is not for you. If you're out of shape, ask for a room on the first or second floor. If you want quiet, ask for a room in the back of the building - remember, you're in the middle of NYC!!

great hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/09/09
We stayed at the hotel for a business trip. the hotel from the outside looks like it was just redone and the lobby was an amazing surprise, it was a very cool and different look. The staff was also very nice and helpfull. However the hallways where not remodled yet but the room was and it was great. Overall we have no complaints about the hotel and will go back on our next business trip.

Lovely
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/31/09
Very Affordable, clean and tidy. Stayed for 2 nights. The staff were friendly. We were a little early checking in but were made to feel welcome, the chap at the desk pulled some strings and we were able to get into our room after a short wait. As for these Bedbugs i keep reading about, What Bedbugs? lovely, would stay again!!

bedbugs!
By alex, 03/24/09
my friend and i stayed for one weekend and both ended up bringing home bedbugs! when i called the hotel and told them, the manager suggested maybe i got them on the plane (i drove to nyc, actually). i had to hire an exterminator, it cost me almost $600, and the hotel told me i couldn't prove it was from them, and offered to reimburse me for my stay, only $210! don't stay here!

DONT STAY HERE - BEDBUGS!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/17/09
My girlfriend stay at this hotel with a friend and they both got bedbugs. After 2 weeks of trying to get rid of them ourselves we had to get an exterminator! $600 later and the hotel is refusing to help in anyway. The manager Marco and the rest of the staff is very unprofessional....do yourself a favor and do NOT stay at this hotel.

Do not stay in this hotel!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/08
The hotel was dirty, dark and poky. The shower was tiny, you couldn't turn around or adjust the shower head, water took ages to heat up. On the second morning we saw the biggest cockroach ever in the world!! they had to move us to another room - on the last morning the same thing again cockroach number 1 bought his friends!! Nightmare, it was by birthday and it was ruined - no phones in the rooms - windows didn't open - This was where all the dossers hang out - NOT GO, PAY MORE MONEY AND SLEEP WITHOUT THE BUGS AND COCKROCHES!!!!!!!!

Different experiences here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/07
Because I booked late for the first week of December, we stayed in two different rooms. The first room on the second floor was clean and small but noisy and very hot. At least it had new workable windows. The second room on the first floor, inner courtyard, appeared to have been updated recently and was clean, quiet and very comfortable for a no frills hotel. One of the staff was very helpful and another was not. Disposable plastic glasses. (I think this is a good thing given expose on hotel glasses) Tea/coffee service in am. I'd rather stay here than in certain natl chains. Located in restaurant supply district. Near New Museum, some good restaurants, Soho, Chinatown, metro stops, including Spring St Stn.

A dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/07
The hotel had a central cooling system and the temperature of the rooms could only be regulated by one main switch in the building. So we froze! Many stairs to climb. The Sink leaked and overflowed all over the floor overnight. No extra blankets available. Old hotel and a handfull of rooms. Good location for shopping in China town though.
