Pottsville Motor Inn, Pottsville

It was the best hotel that I vere stayed in. Everone that I met had drugs for sale. There was loud music playing all night long, great, cause I did not have a radio. This place also serves as a shelter for the homeless women of Pottsville. There was a 30 year old Puerto Rican woman there from Reading. I gave her 20 dollars and she stayed in my room all night. I hope that I did not get her pregnant, we did it so much. Probably not cause she even let me do her 2x in the back door. Her dumb boyfriend picked her up in the morning, ha ha, all her little holes full of my milk. I stayed another night just to see her and this time she brought her aunt, about 45. who also loved it up the Hershey Highway. Had a threesome all night for 40 bucks. Wow, these PR women in PA love big white dongs. Anyway, when in Pottsville, stay there because everything you want is right there and cheap. 5 stars for this place!

We arrived in mid january to the pottsville area on a trip to the yuengling brewery and were looking for a place to crash for the night after a good night of enjoying the local bar scene. Being that it was january, we expected to at least have a warm bed to sleep in. NO LUCK! the room they gave us was the furthest room from the office and was ice cold upon entering. We decided to leave and come back and maybe give the room a chance to heat up so we took a 2 hour trip to Cabelas to kill some time. When we got back it was still the same frigid climate we had previously experienced. We then decided that this was not the right place for us we went to the office and asked for our money back because of the cold temperature and the uncleanliness of the room. He laughed at us and pointed at the no refund sign like he had done it a hundred times. I then started to try and recoup at least some of our money until the younger 'owner' that could speak a little more english came in and told us that it was their policy and that he could see if he could get another room for us. We then declined and fought for another 15 minutes over the money to no avail. These people are rude, inconsiderate, and definitely do NOT know how to run a hotel. I've learned my lesson and hopefully noone else will make the mistake that we did.

After driving all day being very tired stopped, My friend went into ask about a room and decided to go ahead and pay the over rated amount of $82.00. When she came back out to the car, she told me renting the room was like filling out a job application because of all the information the clerk wanted. When trying to open the door with the key you had to put your shoulder into it for it to open. At first glance the room was filthy, we were afraid to touch anything. We started inspecting the room more closely and was sickened by what we found, the sitting chair (which was the cleanest thing in the room) was very stained. Pulling the bedspread back we found what looked like body fluids on it. The sheets were a dingy brownish grey. There was mold on the sides of the bed side table. The door facing in the bathroom looked as if someone kicked it in, and the wood was split with nails sticking out, bathroom vent was covered in dust, the air condictioner was missing the vent and was nasty. There was a spider web above one of the bed that was at least 3 ft wide. The worst was and area of what appeared to be black mold growing on the wall next to the bed on an outside wall that was black, approx 2 ft by 2 1/2 ft. After see all this we went back to the office and asked for a refund, the clerk stated there were no refunds. We tried to explain what we found, when a younger man appeared from a side room and stated that he was the owner. We explained again what we found and he stated "my rooms are clean." We asked him to come and see the room he told us "I dont come I know my rooms clean" Still refusing a refund. He said "how do I know you did not put this in room. My friend said she does not carry mold around in her pocket, but he still would not come to room. We also call the police just to verify that we had not damaged the room and after taking several pictures left. Sleep in the car was better. Please stay away and pass this on, unfortunately people who are traveling will fall victim to this filthy motel.

MANY ADVERTISED AMNETIES MISSING ADVETISED FAX NOT AVAILABLE. WIRELESS INTERNET DID NOT WORK. DID NOT EVEN PUT TISSUE PAPER IN BATH ROOM BLANKET ON BED SO DIRTY. I made reservation using "(570) 622-4917" one day early before arriving. I arrived and filled out paperwork for the room for one night and signed the receipt before going into room. I then went into the room to find a horrible hotel room. The door looked kicked in which is a safety issue. The fridge look so old and was missing the bottom panel exposing wires. The bathroom ceiling tiles are mold infested and missing in some locations. The light socket was missing cover and exposed the bulbs and wiring. The lights flickered and never worked. The room was filthy. I asked for a non smoking and got an ash tray never cleaned and the room stench of 20 yrs of smokers. After 5 minutes of being in the room I returned to the office and nicely asked for a refund. He told me I could just get another room and tried to hand me another key. I told him this place is unsafe for me and my wife. He told me in a quick and smart ass way of no refunds. I said fine and then called Bank of America and asked for advice and they cancelled my card. Somehow still the charge did go through but its going through there claims department and they assure me that since I did not stay the night and found another hotel "Ramada" then I would not have to pay. That is still pending. I then called the city of Pottsville PA code enforcement and they were closed. I left a message to call me back so they can close this dump down. I have pictures on my cell phone of everything listed above. Called AAA and they are currently under review. I made all these calls in the main office in the employees presents. When I arrived I had paid $5 deposit for the key. After all those phone calls he seem very upset. I laid the key on the counter and asked for my $5 back. He quickly snatched it away and said "no money for you". The funny thing is he only put in on the lower part of the counter. A second after he put it to the lower counter i snatched it back and said I paid for it you thief. At that point he had enough and 1 younger man I think was his brother and some older lady grabbed me by my arm and clawed me for the key and at that time I dropped the key along with my cell phone, cell phone charger, and keys and they were pulling me out the door stepping over my wife and on her foot to pull me out. I dove for my cell phone and keys but didn’t get my charger cord. Since they stood on my wife’s foot, her shoe came off and she was yelling for it back and after threating calling the police, they threw it back at her. I did call the police. They have records that 2 officers came to talk to us. They tried to find my charger but with no success. The police told me they could do nothing about it and apologized for the hotel. I still have scratches on my hand and Genda’s foot still hurts. We did finally booked the Ramada for the night which is a relief to be done with it. I will do everything I can to make aware to others of this place "Pottsville Motor Inn". This is a family own hotel in dirty business. Wait until I get these pictures downloaded off my cell phone. They may not be good quality but you can see how awful room 107 truly is. - 01/08/2009 at 3pm to 4pm

this was a really safe and clean place to stay. the bed was really comfortable. the person at the desk was friendly. overall the experience that i had was a positive experience.
