Point View Hotel, Pittsburgh

I admit I am local to the place. While it's not my everyday watering hole, If I want a good meal in a real place I go here! Another reviewer listed as a Con that it is old. Ofcourse it's old. Historic places tend to be! This building was a "station" on the "Underground Railroad" sneaking runaway slaves to Canada. It his been host to 19th century U.S. Presidents on their way to or from Pittsburgh when The Brownsville Road was a major stage-coach route in the pre railroad era! More amazing in the current age is that this place has continued to be what it is and was for almost 200 years. It is located in a suburb that mainly grew up in the 1920s-1950s, surviving malls,plastic chains and other artificial roadside debris that grew to kill any individualty that our cities use to have!
