Terrace Inn, Grand Lake

The food was truly amazing and the reviews about this are correct. The stay however..... We were not told which room was ours, even though I called earlier in the day. Therefore at 1130 at night I was knocking on doors to find out which one was ours. There is NEVER any coffee upstairs by the rooms, though there were hot plates for the coffee pots-Big mistake! We were told when making reservations that an 8 year old traveling with us was fine, though when we went to breakfast the next morning, there was a huge deal. Apparently children under 12 were not allowed. We were also told that morning that we would only received 2 breakfasts and we were staying 3 nights. Excuse me? I paid for 3 nights and 3 breakfasts. Also.... The bed was never made, the room was never cleaned for 3 days and we had to ask for clean towels and for the tiny trash can in the bathroom to be emptied. The bathroom was not well taken care of and the shower was very hard to get in and out of, safety hazard. Not worth $150 per night.... At least in a motel they make your bed and take out the trash!

Nice plush room-worked well for a family of 3. Favorite thing was complimentary breakfast in fine dining resturant downstairs. No AC, but didn't really need it. Great location. Could walk anywhere in Grand Lake.
