Heritage Inn Mahomet, Mahomet

I wanted to write a review because I was leery of this place due to the other reviews on here. I don't think others have given this place a fair shake. No, it's not a Hilton, but you're not paying for the Hilton, either. The owner did ask me to pay more than he quoted over the phone, but we haggled and settled on a fair price (it was still cheaper than the Champaign hotels). The room was relatively clean and everything worked fine. They allow pets, which was great, and there's a large space behind the hotel to walk them and let them do their business. The A/C was nice and cold, the TV had decent cable, and the room had a microwave and fridge. I saw/talked to other people staying there, and no one seemed sketchy or crazy - I certainly didn't feel in danger during my stay, and I had my wife and 2-year old with me. If you're not planning on sitting in your room the entire time, this place is a great value to get some sleep and a shower. Don't expect the 4 seasons, and you won't be disappointed.

Good: They had a room available. Bad: They charged more than they said on the phone and the manager wouldn't be reasoned with, the rooms were old, and one of the bed had all sorts of hair in it. It was pretty disgusting. I wouldn't go back.

This place is great place to stay when they jack up all the hotel prices in Champaign on football weekend or other events. I mean 125$ for an econolodge when you can drive 8 miles down the road and spend 40-50$. I like being able to park right out the door of your hotel. Its a basic cheaper hotel run by a family that lives on site, nothing fancy here but a clean warm bed and hot shower. No hairdyers or ice but there is a fridge and microwave in every room. Nice town with a fun sports bar "JT walkers" that serves food for after the games. Hen house across the street has a decent breakfast at a cheap price

I think recently the motel management has changed, rooms were decent and clean. Good people at the reception and prompt service, I would not hesitate to recommend this motel to my near and dear ones

This Hotel was very well priced, the rooms were nice and clean, The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed my stay.

Don't go here, this hotel is a joke. Not only was the place dirty and covered in insects, but they charged me twice for one nights stay. Also, when I got back to my house, I was covered in bug bites. Listen to the rest of the reviews, DO NOT GO HERE!!

Dont stay here. It will be the worst experience in your entire life. I could hear the son fo the owners music at night. I could not sleep therefore, i didnt sleep. I dont imagine why you would want to stay here. I advise you!! DONT DO IT!!!

I stayed here for one night and it was the worst night of my life! I was ding dong ditched twice by the owner's son. Then I found nasty things in drawers. I also saw five cockroaches.
