The room was disgusting the bathroom was dirty the sheets were filthy and had white spots on it and the manager was terrifying rude to us.this will be the last resort for me i will go find somewhere else to stay
Very old, carpet at least 30 years old. Hairs in our sheets and on our pillow cases. Towels appeared used so we didn't dare shower. This room was worse than a room I stayed in during my trip to rural India to see the Taj Mahal. And I thought that one was scary. We literally slept with our clothes on so our skin would not contact the sheets.
How in 2009 can a place like this even be operating? And the thing that baffles me most is almost no one stays there so the owner has plenty of time all day long to clean the sheets and towels but doesn't? If she has a mental problem I can understand it, but if this is her evil way to live then close the place down now.
This place has what I find important clean rooms quiet no punks or drunks milling around wifi works excellent the only thing my room did not have was a coffee maker however I rather get on the road and get some coffee when I fuel up anyway.
I simply called to ask to speak to the manager of this place and was treated very rudly. I could barely hear the woman who answered the phone as there seemed to be a child screaming in the background. I repeatedly asked what the managers name was and the woman would not tell me the name until I told her mine. She then proceeded to tell me that I was snotty and she would have no business with me, when she was the one who threw the attitude! She then said, I am the manager and hung up on me!!!
I will be calling the Better Business Bureau next.
We are in our 60's. We liked the simple fact that it was easy to find. The same person I spoke to was there to check me in and we ALL got a good nights sleep without any problems. I have read the other reviews of this Motel- i put no stock to them. I was at the Ramada (Sturgeons' Casino) there and the people at the Ramada were just down right rude. So we checked out of the Ramada and the four of us stayed at Helena's motel called Covered Wagon Motel.
We stayed over an extra day because it was so comfortable and reasonably priced. We actually saved money over the Ramada and had a better time in LoveLock. I have an expensive car that I usually worry about in a parking lot- there it was fine. Everything was as it should be when renting a room at a Motel. I woulds recommend to my friends and we will stay there again.
The Motel is one block away from the main street so it's nice and quiet. The non somking rooms does not smell like smoke or airfreschener.
Flawless linnen and towels unbeliveble clean concidering roomes range from $40-$70.
This one is a true gem I stayed in Vegas,Reno,L.A and never found a better value.
No pets alowed so not for the pet owner.
We reserved a room for one night and arrived at 5:30pm. We waited while a young lady from the office quickly made up the bed. The room smelled strongly of mothballs. The mini-refrigerator harboured a mouldy sandwich. The same grey-green stuff was growing on the walls of the refrigerator. The room had not been heated, but the old wall heater slowly warmed things up while we went out to dinner.
We're not fancy folk, we were tired, and didn't want to forfeit the money....so we stayed. The bed was good enough for tired travellers and we brought in our own blankets and pillows.
The next morning, while shaving, I discovered that the sink trap had come apart. The water drained out on the floor, soaking my socks. That was the last straw.
This is the lousiest place I've ever had the misfortune to try and rest my weary bones.
