Gold Dust Lodge Blak Hawk Company, Black Hawk

Cost me $200 for the "suite." Stayed because the rest of Balck Hawk was sold out- only option. Went to turn down the sheets and noticed someone else's body hair all over sheets, then noticed crumbs on nightstand along with some white translucent liquid... gag... don't want t know WHAT it was. A trip to the bathroom got my feet stuck to the floor. Asked to have the room cleaned. Came back to a somewhat decent looking room. Smelled fresh. Thought the nightmare was over. Not so. Shower head pushed water out of the tiny holes so hard, felt like needles imbedded in my skin. NO HEAT IN THE BATHROOM WHATSOEVER!!!!!! Had to keep the bathroom door closed so the cold air would not reach us in bed. Flimsy see-through curtain hung above the blowing heater unit, blowing a revealing look over the bed to anyone that wanted a view. Frosted window in the front door allowed for the bright parking lot lights to shine directly in my eyes while I was trying to sleep. Squeaky spings in my back+Unsturdy bed frame= not 1 ounce of sleep for me that night. In hindsight, I would've rather driven to Denver at 3:30am after the casino then to stay here. I would've rather made a bed in my car then stayed here. At least I would have my $200 and my self respect back. Gold Dust lodge is no bueno!

Just beware that if Blackhwak police think you have had too much to drink but can't arrest you for anything because you haven't done anything to warrent it they will detain you and take you to this place and force you to buy a room. $149.00 for a one bed room! This is such a scam. I wonder what kinda kick back the cops got from it? Probably the only way this place gets any business. About the room....I wouldn't let my dog stay here.

Rude,rude,rude......planned on staying cashier at the store was rude and not helpful. We had him credit out credit card. Stay away.

We got into the room and almost slipped on the greasy bathroom floor. When we took our shoes off, before we got across the room our socks were coated with sticky dirt from the carpet. We complained to the manager and was asked if we wanted another room, but offered no refund.

My husband and I stayed at the gold lodge and the room was beautiful, the service was great. The manager was very nice and we got a free bottle of champagne for our new years eve stay! They also offered a shuttle to and from blackhawk. It was a great place to stay.

I never stayed at the lodge. After reading reviews about how disgusting the lodge was I cancelled my reservations for New Years 2011. I cancelled these reservations in October. I received several phone calls on New Years Eve from the Gold Dust Lodge saying that I still had reservations. I was assured in October that my reservations were cancelled. The lodge charged me TWICE for the rooms that I had cancelled months earlier. AND the front desk clerk will not refund me. AND I'm being told that I can't speak with the manager until Monday (2 days later)!! I AM REPORTING THE GOLD DUST LODGE TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THIS STYLE OF DOING BUSINESS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

The place is a total mess, the owner is very arrogant, no wonder there is so much complain, the confusion in the personel that works there can tell it all. The people that rent there have had no choice when all hotels rooms are taken in the city of Black hawk and Central City. We hope that when Ameristar opens , this will change the options for the abused people in Gold dust lodge. I saw How the owner unrespecfully fired and caused shame in a worker woman, one night in from of every body!

The bed was the worst didnt even have a box spring. For 120.00 a night you would think it would at least have an iron, air conditioner was noisy and didnt cool very much only reason we stayed there was because everything was sold out,stay in a tent and save you money for the casinos

This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. It's worse than some of the 3rd world country hotels I have stayed at. You can hear everything through the walls. No water pressure. The bathroom is gross. The heat vent has mold growing on it. I would stay away from this place.

Very old, loud, noisy walls, floors and there is no water pressure. Old fixtures not working. Very uncomforable bed....Pay a little extra and stay a casino hotel!!!!!....NO KIDDING OR PLAIN OLD B*TCHING HERE... DO not stay here!!!! OH and the complimentary shuttle is run by the hotel. You have to go ask for the motel folks to get a ride.
