Hurley's At Holgate Motel, Long Beach twp

My husband and I recently stayed at Hurley's in Holgate. Granted our room did not resemble the one on the website, it was nevertheless alright. A bit small but for $70 a night, we won't complaint. Mr. Hurley was very nice. The water was hot in the bathroom. Things we disliked were the fact that the room was so dismal, being paneled in a barn like rustic paneling making the room look very small and dark and uninviting. A bit musty smelling but if you leave the fan on all night, it somewhat goes away. I think if the rooms were painted a light color or white, they would definitely be more pleasing to the eye. The view was fantastic and the bed very comfortable. Would we stay there again. Probably not because we like to try different places. I think a lot could be done to brighten the rooms, especially the one we stayed in but over all, the stay was not bad.
