Lazy Inn, Fernley

Nice people run the motel but the clientele is questionable. It may be worth an extra $10 to stay elsewhere.

We stayed 2 nights here with our two large labs and found the room excellent and an incredible value. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were very nice and helpful. Everything worked fine, tv, frig, water, toilet, shower, everything we needed. The heater worked fine and we were very comfortable. Yes it is an older motel with a few spots that could be touched up with paint here and there but nothing that was bad. Definately recommend them and going to stay here whenever we come to visit the family again here, and that will be often. And the food next door at the Wigwam is excellent.

I was really disappointed. The small rooms (where we stayed) were absolutely filthy and in terrible disrepair. Our shower backed up, the sink wouldn't stop running, and the carpets and bed were so filthy we hated to touch them! Turning on the swamp cooler made us sick because of all the mold that was in it. We had to turn it off. The $50/night is definitely not worth it. The larger rooms might be better, but I wouldn't give them my business even if they were, knowing how they keep the rest of the motel. The managers seemed very indifferent to our complaints. If you have to stay in Fernley, go to the other side of town!
