Bear Creek Cabins, Evergreen

What a great place. The cabins are clean and the area is well cared for. We went to spend the weekend with the family and had a very pleasant stay. We were discussing coming back without the kids for a romantic weekend until the owner showed up. She immediately hassled the guest in the next cabin about their dog and then approached us with cigarette buts in her hand that she had found and asked me if they were mine, I said no and she stomped off. We made up our mind right there that we would not be back. To bad because it is a nice place.

The cabins were lovely, and the visitors were kind, friendly, social, and neighborly. The owners - the wife - was especially rude. Her phone manners and general attitude made staying at the cabins a less than ideal experience. We had our dogs with us - the owners claim to run a "pet friendly" property - it is not friendly to the pets or to their owners. If you are taking your dog(s), be ready to get hassled by the owners no matter how clean you leave the place. For such a calm and serene setting, the owner-wife is monumentally cranky and seems to draw pleasure from hassling their visitors.

Phone manners need to be improved. The woman who answered the phone twice..(I assume the owner) was very rude and not welcoming. For someone who runs a family business and has a wonderful website I was really disappointed and chose not to make reservations here. Needs better attitude!!
