Starlite Motel, Oakland

Holes in walls, frayed bed linens, not even the basic amenities such as tissues, paper cups or small coffee makers that most hotels provide. Furniture was "beaten up". No telephone in the room - even in this age of cell phones, one would expect a phone in the room. Two cast-off office chairs served as the sitting area. We only needed a bed for the night and the room appeared to have been cleaned properly so we stayed. I do not plan to stay here again.
