Mound Haven Motel, Brookville

My Fiance and I stayed one night here. We were happy with the service, The owner was was a nice person, check-in was quick. The room was clean. It may not have been a Ramada, or Best Western, but it was a nice place to stay. There is no cable, or Internet, but who books a room to stay in and watch TV, or surf the web. Brookville is about 3-4 minutes away. Which is the reason we went there. "FISHING". I will be staying here again any time I go to that area for a getaway. I only give low ratings due to our stay was for the night and we didn't stay long enough to exoerience any extras that may have been available.

I stayed at this motel over the summer and found that the motel was very affordable and the people were extremely courteous. The owner gave me some advice on where to eat and the best sights to see in Brookville. The motel was located right next to brookville lake which was very convenient for me when I took my family swimming and canoeing. The motel was a little old but the rooms were pretty clean and the sheets/towels were all new. The biggest gripe that I have with this motel was that the carpet is beginning to show some signs of old age but otherwise it's a great affordable place to live in. I would definitely return to this motel if I had a chance because of it's affordable pricing and convenient location.

This motel is not very nice at all, if it wasn't for the cheap prices and the lack of other places to stay in Brookville there'd be no reason to even look at this hotel. The 2 people who work there were nice, but the place smelled bad, and the room were very very cheap looking, but you get what you pay for I guess.

Where can you find a place where staff address you as "Ma'am or Sir these days. These polite people of Mound Haven Motel are respectful of their customers. They would go out on their way to make your stay comfortable and worthwhile. May it be an extra pillow or if you're locked out of your room at 1am, they will smilingly let you in. Brookvillle has the biggest and most beautiful lake that I go there every year to enjoy the waters and I will definitely be staying in this motel everytime, anytime. Very affordable and close to Brookville Lake. Carpets needed deep cleaning, smelled like animals. Poor service, it took half an hour to check in and owner was not very friendly. Cleaning service person was very polite and I felt comfortable that she did her job well, with the supplies she was given. Motel could use new carpet. I did feel comfortable with leaving the vehicle and boat/camper parked outside. Well lit parking.

I love this place. I have friends in Brookville, and if it's a busy time, I stay at the motel. Is is a step back in time. It is a great 'base camp' if you don't plan to spend most of your time in the room. I have been staying here for 5 years now, and will always be a customer if only for the neon. I love that they still have all the neon and still use it! And you cannot beat their prices. Karolyn

This super clean laid back motel is truly a place I would go back to when I am in the area. The room rate is pretty affordable and the rooms are really clean. Country feel and yet so homey and very friendly environment. I give this place a double thumbs up. I definitely give this motel a 5.
